Why Now?


A new generation of startups are being built by founders and employees who care about doing the right thing. Increasingly they want to use their influence to create positive social impact. Equally, many successful founders acknowledge that they have benefited from support and faced less barriers than others. They want to give back. They want to help create change.

Simultaneously, recent social justice movements - including the Black Lives Matter Movement in 2020 - asked us all to wake up and take action against injustices everywhere, provoking many of us to think about how diverse and inclusive our communities really are.

All In was created to support the tech community to address the challenges standing in their way, and to recognise their role as business leaders in creating an equitable society for all. As a community with influence, we recognise our responsibility to take action. We’re creating a place for startup founders and entrepreneurs to publicly take steps in spearheading change around all types of discrimination.

We can all do better, and we will.

We’ve heard the same barriers again and again from founders and industry leaders when it comes to diversity and inclusion. All In is designed to help overcome these obstacles so that leaders and companies can take action more easily.

The All In Commitment was incubated by a core team from ICE (https://theicelist.com/). ICE is a community of tech startup founders and investors, with the aim of providing lifelong support for high-growth tech entrepreneurs.

Supernode Global

Supernode Global is an early-stage venture capital fund investing in the next wave of technology companies defining global culture. Fair HQ (https://www.fairhq.co/) is the first tech platform helping startups & scale-ups manage Diversity & Inclusion process end to end - they are both the data layer & recommendation engine for companies to understand how they are set up for diversity and inclusion from their process, representation and behaviours to what they need to do to improve. They've been working with some stellar companies such as Charlie HR, Tray.io, Beamery and Fnatic and VCs such as Accel, Backed, Felix Capital and Octopus are actively recommending them to their portfolio.

COO Stories

COO Stories, and their community of start up leaders, have been active partners in helping drive our early diversity initiatives.

The COO Stories community was started in 2015 by Kelsey Traher and Ben Gateley as a place for COOs to ask questions and get advice. The London community is home to around 200 Ops leaders.
